Growing up among wolves, bears, and the barbarian tribes of northeastern Zyricus, he learned to survive and thrive in the wild, developing a deep connection with nature and a strong sense of justice.

Despite his fearsome appearance and formidable skills as a warrior, Varg is known for his kindness and benevolence. He is fiercely protective of nature, goodly creatures, and the small group of companions he travels with. Among these companions, his closest friend and ally is Ulghar Grimm, a renowned warrior in his own right. Their paths have also crossed with Kharn the Merciless, the savage barbarian warchief of the Clan of the Mammoth, and Ulfgar Nornn, Bane of the North, leader of the Tribe of the Northern Wolf. Varg's unyielding sense of justice has also put him at odds with the malevolent Lord Balor, the cold and cruel Lord Antor Ironside of Lothar, and the powerful frost giant Lords Hjalmar Frostborn and Ulfar Icewalker.

Varg's nomadic lifestyle sees him traveling extensively across northeastern Zyricus typically with a pack of white dire wolves, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is often found at Ulghar Grimm's side, where his strength and benevolence are invaluable in their ongoing battles against the forces of darkness.
